Scripture Reading: Exodus 20:1-17 & Leviticus 5:14-19.

Memory Verse: Exodus 32:16.

1. Upon what were the Ten Commandments written? Deuteronomy 4:12-13.
2. Who wrote the Commandments on the tables of stone which Moses received? Exodus 31:18.
3. What happened to the tables of stone when Moses went down from the Mount? Exodus 32:15 & Exodus 32:19.
4. What did God command Moses to do after he broke the stones? Deuteronomy 10:1.
5. Why did God want two more tables of stone? Deuteronomy 10:2.
6. Did Moses obey the command of God? Deuteronomy 10:3.
7. Did God write the Ten Commandments again? Deuteronomy 10:4.
8. What did Moses do with the tables? Deuteronomy 10:5.
Note: The Ten Commandments were written by God the first time, and they were written by Him the second time after Moses broke the first two stones. The Ten Commandment law is the Law of God, not the law of Moses. Moses wrote the law of ordinances. The Bible points out a difference between the two laws, who wrote them, and where they were written.
9. Did Moses write a law on tables of stone? Where did he write the law? Deuteronomy 31:24.
10. What did Moses command the Levites to do with the book of the law he wrote? Deuteronomy 31:26.
Note: The ordinance law was written by Moses. It was written in a book and placed in the ark of shittim wood where God’s law on tables of stone was already stored. The law of ordinances governed the Jewish ritual (the law of sacrifices, offering of blood, etc.). It was added to punish those who disobeyed God’s Royal Law. Obedience to the Ten Commandment law does not punish man. It makes life pleasant, happy, and enjoyable for man.
