Prophecies of the Final Judgment

Preview: This lesson further explains John’s prophetic vision of the end times. For greater understanding of this lesson it should be preceded by “The Seventh Seal and the Trumpets.”


Scripture Reading: Daniel 12:4-9.

Memory Verse: Psalm 104:3.

1. What did John see coming down from Heaven? Revelation 10:1.
2. What did the angel do? Revelation 10:2-7.
3. Did John write all he heard? Revelation 10:4 & Daniel 12:9.
Note: The angel announced to John that two events would occur in connection with the seventh trumpet. First would be the ending of time and the second would be the finishing of the “mystery of God.” Revelation 10:6-7.
4. What did the voice that John heard tell him to do? Revelation 10:8.
5. Did John obey the voice? Revelation 10:9-10.
6. What else was John told to do? Revelation 10:11.
7. What was given to John? Revelation 11:1-2.
8. Who was given power? Revelation 11:3-6, II Kings 1:10-12, I Kings 17:1, & Exodus 7:19-20.
Note: In a primary sense, the two witnesses could be said to be Christ and the Holy Spirit. In a secondary sense, it refers to the two divisions of the Bible: The Old and New Testaments, which are the agencies for bringing to the world the testimony of Christ and the Holy Spirit.
9. What took place after their testimony? Revelation 11:7-13.
10. What happened at the sound of the seventh angel? Revelation 11:15-19.
